Loxton Cellars

Loxton Cellars is a working winery located in the heart of Sonoma Valley, surrounded by 5 acres of estate vineyard and sourcing additional fruit from premium vineyards throughout Sonoma County under long-term agreements. Owner/winemaker Chris Loxton's philosophy emphasizes producing handcrafted wines without compromise, showcasing balance and a sense of place. The winery adheres to traditional methods, including hand-picking grapes at night or in the morning to minimize extraction and microbial activity, and using French oak barrels with judicious new oak additions. Wines are sold through wine club, mailing list, and tasting room, with annual production typically reaching 3,000 cases. The winery offers daily tastings from 11-5pm, with a $20 per person tasting fee for adults in the picnic area, where guests can bring their own food amidst breathtaking views of the Mayacamas mountains. Vineyard Walkabout Tours are also available, hosted by Chris Loxton himself, providing an immersive behind-the-scenes experience and wine-making explanation for $40 per person.
