Mackinaw Trail Winery

Mackinaw Trail Winery & Brewery is a family-owned destination in Petoskey, Michigan, within the Tip of the Mitt American Viticultural Area (AVA). Founded in 2004 by Ralph and Laurie Stabile, the winery was born from their Sicilian winemaking heritage, with Ralph's grandfather having started the tradition at a young age. The estate vineyard spans 15 acres, featuring cold-hardy varietals such as Marquette, La Crescent, and Frontenac Gris, well-suited to Northern Michigan's climate. Under Dustin Stabile's guidance since 2008, the winery has achieved over 500 medals and six Best of Class awards, balancing traditional techniques with innovative approaches. The winery offers tastings, tours, and scenic views at its Petoskey location or at one of its two tasting rooms in Mackinaw City and Manistique. Visitors can enjoy a curated wine experience, handcrafted beers, and light fare, while the Wine Club provides exclusive releases and member perks.
