Maloof Wines

Maloof Wines has pursued a simple project since 2015: grow grapes, grow old, and make white wine. Founded by Bee and Ross Maloof with Michelle McCaw and Perry Heistuman, the winery concentrates on white varieties, especially Riesling, Gewürztraminer, and Pinot Gris. Their lineup is organized into several tiers. Classic is the flagship series of single-site, single-variety wines. Comic offers whimsical multi-site blends, Watercolor captures single-parcel expressions, and Collaborations are shared projects. They also release SSA bottlings each year: barrels selected from the Classic line and bottled without any added sulfur, available only at the estate vineyard and winery home, No Clos Radio. Winemaking varies by wine and includes whole-cluster pressing, foot-treading in picking bins, skin fermentation with daily pigéage, aging in neutral French oak or stainless steel, and bottling without fining or filtration. The No Clos Radio estate is also home to an old Gewürztraminer planting from 1974.
