Marzae Wine

Marzae Wine makes natural wines, aperitifs, and low- and no-alcohol ferments at Marzae Cellar + Provisions in downtown Boston at the Boston Public Market. Its Sauvage line, inspired by the edible native flora and fauna of Massachusetts, spans pét-nats, whites, oranges, rosés, and reds, often built around co-ferments of grapes with cider apples, wild blueberries, or sour cherries. A 2024 Varietal Studies series highlights single-grape bottlings such as Gamay and Traminette, the Field label covers everyday table wines, and the upcoming Origine line will offer more classic reserve styles; amari, vermouths, and ready-to-drink cocktails are also in development. All fruit is sourced from the Northeast, and Marzae farms its own estate vineyard regeneratively, using no-till agriculture, cover crops, compost, grazing, and organic pest control while avoiding herbicides and minimizing copper. Grapes purchased from partner growers come from farms enrolled in sustainable programs, with sourcing details disclosed on tech sheets starting with the 2024 vintage. In the cellar, wines are naturally fermented dry without filtering, fining, temperature manipulation, or additives beyond small amounts of sulfites to prevent faults.
