McNab Ridge Winery, located in the heart of Mendocino County's American Viticulture Area (AVA), is a pioneering winery with a rich history spanning over 70 years. Founded by Adolph Parducci, who arrived in the United States in 1912 and sold grapes to home winemakers during Prohibition, the winery has been family-owned and operated since its inception. Rich Parducci, great-grandson of Adolph, is the current winemaker, leading a small team with a dedication to handcrafting premium wines that showcase the region's unique characteristics. The winery sources high-quality grapes from dedicated local growers and strives to enhance nature's bounty through careful winemaking techniques. McNab Ridge is known for its Family Reserve Wines, which are crafted from exceptional fruit, as well as its Fun Bunch collection, featuring whimsical labels and wines that have become popular among visitors. The estate vineyard, nestled in the scenic McNab Valley, was originally homesteaded by Alexander McNab in 1868 and has been farmed by generations of the Parducci family. While the winery itself is not open to the public, a tasting room in Hopland welcomes visitors daily, offering an opportunity to experience the wines and learn about the estate's history and traditions.
