MenaRick Vineyard & Winery

MenaRick Vineyard & Winery is a family-owned estate in the foothills of the Yadkin Valley, set on 40 acres in Ronda, North Carolina. Owners Rick and Mena draw on his California upbringing and her childhood among her family's vineyards in Portugal, planting their first 3.5 acres in 2008 after buying the property in 2006. The winery now farms eight acres of Syrah, Merlot, Chardonnay, Albariño, Grenache, Tempranillo, and Touriga Nacional, and specializes in Spanish and Portuguese varietals. The wines are bottled unfiltered, a choice the winery says preserves aroma and flavor. Rick, whose background is in home construction, designed and built the winery and tasting room. Visitors can stop in for tastings, flights, wine by the glass or bottle, and are welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy with views of the vineyard. The property also hosts intimate weddings, family gatherings, and corporate events.
