Menghini Winery, located in the heart of Julian, California, is a San Diego gem and the second oldest winery in the region. Founded in 1982 by Mike and Toni Menghini, high school sweethearts with over 50 years of combined experience in the wine industry, the winery has become a beloved destination for those seeking fun and fine wines. Mike, a grape guru with roots in San Pasqual Winery (now Orfila) and Callaway and Filsinger, brings his expertise to crafting a range of varietals including Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Merlot, Siraz, Sauvignon Blanc, Julian Gold Chardonnay, and Rose. The winery's tasting room is known for its warm atmosphere, thanks in part to Toni's charming personality and ability to make visitors feel like family. Visitors can enjoy wine tastings and experience the beauty of the apple-kissed hills surrounding Julian. With a location at 1150 Julian Orchards Dr., Julian, CA 92036, Menghini Winery is open Monday through Sunday with varying hours, including temporary closures on certain days.
