Merry Edwards Winery

Merry Edwards Winery focuses on single-vineyard Pinot Noir from the Russian River Valley. The winery and all of its vineyards are Certified California Sustainable, and each bottling is framed as an expression of its specific place of origin. The label began after Merry Edwards spent the 1970s and 1980s as winemaker for producers including Mt. Eden Vineyards and Matanzas Creek Winery, then built a career as a consulting winemaker. A group of collectors who had followed her work persuaded her to start her own label and provided a seed investment. She later received honors including Winemaker of the Year from The San Francisco Chronicle and recognition as one of the 50 Most Influential Winemakers in the World by Wine and Spirits Magazine. Heidi von der Mehden is the current winemaker. Visitors can make an appointment to taste at the estate.
