Muccigrosso Vineyards

Muccigrosso Vineyards is a family-run winery located in the Santa Cruz Mountains, outside of Los Gatos, California. Founded by Michael and Lynne Muccigrosso in the early 1980s, the winery has maintained a hands-on approach to winemaking, producing small batches of high-quality, handmade wines. The estate is situated down a two-and-a-half-mile winding dirt driveway off Bear Creek Road, with no public tasting room available for visitors. Michael and Lynne initially focused on dry farming Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, and Chardonnay, with the winery becoming bonded in 2001 thanks to local support and good fortune. The Muccigrossos have stayed true to their roots, keeping production limited to ensure a personal touch in every bottle. Lynne Muccigrosso was instrumental in the winery's success as its president and matriarch, with her flagship wine, Lyn Zin, named after her since 2001. After her passing in 2015, Jacob Kauffman took over as winemaker, bringing his own magic touch to the wines until his passing in 2009. Today, Muccigrosso Vineyards continues to produce exceptional wines, driven by a commitment to quality and tradition.
