Mulberry Vineyards

Mulberry Vineyards is a family-owned winery located in the historic town of Chepachet, Rhode Island, within the state's AVA. The winery is known for its handcrafted wines, with a focus on varieties that thrive in Rhode Island's climate. David Wright, the winemaker and owner, studied enology and microbiology at the University of Rhode Island, which led him to pursue a career in winemaking. He began planting grapevines on his property, now known as the Andrew Brown homestead, and eventually developed Mulberry Vineyards with his wife. The winery produces a range of wines, including Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Riesling, Black Muscat, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve. Their wines are aged in Romanian oak barrels, adding depth to their flavor profiles. In addition to wine production, Mulberry Vineyards has become a community gathering space, hosting events and welcoming families with children and pets. The winery's atmosphere is described as relaxed and inviting, with live music and outdoor seating areas on the lawn. Visitors can enjoy tastings and tours of the vineyard during designated hours on Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 4pm.
