Naumann Vineyards

Naumann Vineyards, a small family estate vineyard located in the Santa Cruz Mountains of Cupertino, California, produces high-quality wines from grapes exclusively grown in the region. The winery's signature varietals include Estate Merlot, Santa Cruz Mountain Chardonnay, and Late Harvest Merlot, with new releases planned for Rosé (2011) and Cabernet Sauvignon (2012). Don Naumann founded the winery in 2001, building on his family's property purchased in 1987 and planted to vineyard in 1994. The Santa Cruz Mountains' unique climate, characterized by warm days and cool mountain nights, contributes to the distinct flavor profiles of their wines. With a focus on small-lot production and hand cultivation, Naumann Vineyards aims to produce unique, high-quality wines. The winery is open only four days a year for Passport Days (third Saturday in January, April, July, and November), but appointments can be made for special tours or events. Their wines have received recognition at competitions such as the Berlin International Wine Competition and San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, earning silver medals for their 2013 Tre Rosso Cali and Merlot releases.
