Northstar Winery

Northstar Winery is a Washington State winery located in the Columbia Valley and Walla Walla region, known for producing world-class Merlots that showcase the variety's potential in the state. The winery was established in the early 1990s with the goal of creating exceptional Merlot-based wines, and its first vintage was released in 1994. Under the guidance of celebrated winemaker Jed Steele and current head Winemaker David "Merf" Merfeld since 2005, Northstar has developed a reputation for crafting full-bodied yet balanced Merlots that benefit from the region's cooler nighttime temperatures and longer growing season. The winery's wines have received high acclaim from industry critics, with many scoring in the 90+ range. Visitors can experience Northstar's critically acclaimed wines at one of their tasting salons, including a new location in Woodinville, where they offer indoor and outdoor tastings, unique experiences, and carryout wine sales. The winery also offers a Blending Experience, allowing guests to craft their own label, as well as a Wine Club with exclusive events and discounts.
