Olathea Creek Vineyard & Winery is a family-owned winery located in LeClaire, Iowa, at the heart of the Quad Cities. Founded by husband-and-wife team Julia and Bryce Flaherty, who combined their passion for wine and community to create something special on their local roots. The winemaking journey began as an experiment in their kitchen with a starter kit gift, eventually growing into a shared passion that led them to pursue formal education in wine production and vineyard management. After five years of learning and experimenting, they transformed their hobby into a family business in 2019 by planting the first two acres of their vineyard with cold-climate varieties Petite Pearl and L'Acadie Blanc. The winery features a picturesque creek and offers a quiet country setting along the majestic Mississippi River. Olathea Creek Vineyard & Winery is proud to be among the few Iowa wineries crafting wine from these emerging grapes, offering a variety of wines ranging from dry to sweet for visitors to enjoy in their tasting room or on the patio with views of the vineyard and river. The property also hosts events such as weddings, private parties, and small gatherings, providing multiple location options for guests to celebrate local flavor, family, and connection.
