Orenda Winery

Orenda Winery (formerly Alveare Winery) is a community-driven winery located on a historic farm estate in Carnation, Washington, approximately 30 minutes east of Seattle. The winemakers, Samantha Kent and her partner, met while salsa dancing in 2010 and went on to develop a passion for beekeeping, the environment, and wine-making. Their connection with the Snoqualmie Valley community is reflected in their winery's name, Alveare (Latin for "beehive"), which represents their commitment to community and nature. The winemakers draw inspiration from their life stories, farm surroundings, and community to create unique wines that tell a story through imagery and flavors. Wine tastings are available on Fridays from 3-7 pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 12:30-6 pm, with indoor and outdoor seating options. The winery's focus is on creating wine one grape at a time, incorporating drawings and stories to bring the wines to life.
