Oz Winery

Oz Winery is a Wamego, Kansas tasting room and producer whose wines and labels draw directly from L. Frank Baum's The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. For more than 15 years, the cellar team has sourced fruit from vineyards near and far to make small-batch red, white, sparkling, rosé, and dessert wines, including bottlings named Drunken Munchkin, Dorothy, and Aunt Em's Prairie Rose. The lineup is rotated yearly, and numbered, hand-dipped wax limited editions are released from time to time. Visiting the recently remodeled Lincoln Avenue tasting room requires no reservation. Guests may sample two wines for free, purchase flights, or buy by the glass, and pair pours with cheese or chocolates. The winery also runs a quarterly wine club and hosts private tastings and fundraisers by advance arrangement. It partners with local animal-welfare nonprofits such as Helping Hands Humane Society.
