Pacific Star Winery

Pacific Star Winery, established in 1988, is situated on the scenic Mendocino Coast, approximately 12 miles north of Fort Bragg. The winery's unique location allows for natural filtering of wine from sediment, as waves crash into sea caves beneath the cellar. This process, combined with the use of French, Hungarian, and American oak barrels, contributes to the production of viscous and dense wines. The winemaking style is characterized by handcrafted techniques, including open-top fermenters and a portable grape receiving system. The winery's portfolio includes several signature red blends, such as "It's My Fault," a popular blend of Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah/Shiraz. Other notable wines include Pinot Gris, sourced from Handley Vineyards in Mendocino County, and Semillon, obtained from Rivino Vineyard in the Ukiah Valley. The winery's tasting experience is casual, with no reservations necessary for groups under 10; however, children under 21 are not allowed on the premises. Visitors can enjoy a picnic while taking in the beautiful views of the ocean. The winery also offers wine club membership and online sales, shipping to California only.
