Piccione Vineyards

Piccione Vineyards is an estate-grown winery located in Swan Creek, North Carolina, within the Blue Ridge Mountains. The winery was founded by the Piccione family in 2010, drawing inspiration from their Sicilian roots where they originated from Marsala, a region famous for its sweet and dry wines. The vineyard's signature varietals include Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, Montepulciano, and Nero Amaro, with the latter being a relatively unknown Italian variety outside of its origins in Puglia and Sardinia. Piccione Vineyards produces award-winning wines from estate-grown fruit, with each varietal showcasing distinct flavor profiles: Cabernet Sauvignon offers hints of dark chocolate, red plum, and black tea; Chardonnay exhibits notes of stone fruits, buttery brioche, or tart lime zest depending on the fermentation method; Merlot features deep black cherry and cocoa dust flavors; Montepulciano is characterized by deep color, firm tannins, and low acidity with notes of blackberries and spiced pepper; and Nero Amaro offers a unique flavor profile. The winery's tasting room, event hall, library, courtyard, underground barrel room, bridal suite, and panoramic views make it an ideal venue for weddings and special events. Visitors can explore the vineyard daily from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m., with live music featured almost every weekend.
