Preston Winery

Preston Farm and Winery is a family-operated, organic property located in Healdsburg's Dry Creek Valley. The winery was established by Lou and Susan Guadagni in 1973, with early plantings of Zinfandel on the land inherited from the Guadagni family in 1895. Over the years, the winery has expanded to include a diverse range of crops, including vineyards, vegetables, fruit trees, olive trees, grain, and pastured livestock. The property is situated between a salmon-spawning stream and a historic wagon trail, with a meandering creek frontage that has been restored through riparian restoration efforts. Preston Farm and Winery is known for its commitment to organic farming practices, with certifications from CCOF dating back to 2002. The winery's signature blends include L.Preston and Madam Preston, introduced in 2001, as well as a sulfite-free Organic Syrah released in 2011. In addition to wine production, the farm offers estate-pressed olive oil, whole grain sourdough loaves, pickles, and produce for sale at its tasting room and farm store. The property also features a commercial bakery with a brick oven, built in 1997, as well as a home-made adobe, wood-fired oven constructed by Lou's hobby bread baking in 1994. Preston Farm and Winery has been recognized for its innovative approach to farming and winemaking, with awards including five gold medals for their "Cuvee de Fume" in 1982.
