Privé Vineyard & Winery

Privé Vineyard & Winery is a boutique winery located in the Chehalem Mountains just outside of Newberg, Oregon, with a flagship estate planted in 1980 and a second vineyard, West Wind Vineyard, in the Ribbon Ridge AVA. The winery is known for its elegant, expressive Pinot Noir wines crafted from rare old-vine Pommard Clone vines, with a focus on minimal intervention to reflect the terroir of the basaltic Jory soil. This site-driven approach is rooted in tradition and place, echoing the winemaker's passion for Burgundian Pinot Noir. The two-and-a-half-acre flagship estate is home to some of the oldest vines in the Chehalem Mountain AVA, while West Wind Vineyard adds a 15-acre site of remarkable terroir to the winery's portfolio. Visitors can experience the Privé Estate, which evokes a hillside vineyard in Burgundy, and enjoy red-fruited, earthy, balanced wines that are characteristic of the region. The winery offers a wine club with automatic shipments of limited-production wines, exclusive discounts, and invitations to special events throughout the year. Founded by Tina and Mark Hammond in 2000, Privé Vineyard has become a close-knit community, with Piper Underbrink joining the family in 2020 and continuing their legacy of crafting exceptional Pinot Noir wines that showcase the unique terroir of Oregon's Willamette Valley.
