Quixote Winery

Quixote Winery is a boutique winery nestled in the heart of Napa Valley's renowned Stags Leap District appellation, producing approximately 2,500 to 3,000 cases annually through an intentional small-lot approach focused on quality and creativity. The winery is known for its estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah, available only at the winery or select restaurants and wine shops across a limited number of states. Under Winemaker Philippe Melka's guidance, Quixote's wines express the unique character of their estate vineyard, with four distinct soil types and east/west-facing slopes, capturing the unmistakable terroir of the Stags Leap District. The winery's commitment to quality, creativity, and expression is evident in its limited-production reserve wines, such as the Helmet of Mambrino collection, which showcases bold, age-worthy, and deeply expressive wines. Quixote also produces a signature White Label wine series, reflecting the vibrant character of their estate, as well as Panza, a second label crafted for everyday enjoyment with an approachable style ready to drink now. The winery's whimsical and vibrant spirit is reflected in its eccentric architecture, designed by Friedensreich Hundertwasser, and immersive tour and tasting experiences offered by appointment only. Quixote's wines are the result of a deliberate and slow process, including cold soak phases, maceration periods, and aging in custom French Oak barrels from nine different cooperages, allowing for maximum extraction and development of beautiful textures and powerful characteristics.
