Riseccoli

Riseccoli winery is located in the Greve in Chianti region of Tuscany, Italy, and is known for its small-production wines that reflect the terroir of their specific parcels. The estate's history dates back to the early 20th century when it was acquired by Prof. Romano Romanelli, a Florentine sculptor who also had an interest in viticulture. Today, the winery remains in the Romanelli family and continues to produce wines that are representative of the Chianti Classico tradition. The vineyards cover approximately 10 hectares and are planted with indigenous Sangiovese, as well as smaller parcels of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot, all of which are organically grown. The winery's philosophy is centered around the idea that small, meticulously tended parcels can produce wines with unique terroir characters, much like the famed climats de Bourgogne in Burgundy. Visitors to the estate can experience this philosophy firsthand by staying at one of the three restored 16th-century farmhouses on site, which offer a true Tuscan experience. The tasting room and cellar are located within the ancient Romanelli family villa, surrounded by rows of tall cypress trees, and offer an authentic experience for wine enthusiasts.
