Rivah Vineyards at the Grove

Rivah Vineyards at the Grove is a winery located on 125 scenic acres of farm, woods, and riverfront on the Northern Neck, with a rich history dating back to 1653. The property, known as The Grove, has been in the ownership of only four families over its 363-year history, with the current owner's family residing there since 1799. The winery is built on the site of the ancestral home, which was constructed in 1832 and is now preserved through conservation efforts to maintain its historic charm. Rivah Vineyards produces a range of grape varieties, including Cayuga White, Petit Manseng, Chardonel, Cab Franc, Chambourcin, Gruner Veltliner, Rkatsiteli, and Merlot, with some experimental varieties also being tested. The winery offers wine tastings, as well as a variety of events throughout the year, such as line dancing, wine and cherry pairings, and family movie nights. Visitors can enjoy sipping wine while taking in the stunning views of the Yeocomico River from the deck or by the fire pit, with pets and children welcome on the property.
