Rolling Forks Vineyards

Rolling Forks Vineyards is a Glenwood, Minnesota winery founded by Joe and Melanie Cihlar, who planted their first vineyard in 2010. Before launching their own production, they supplied cold-hardy grapes to commercial wineries across the Upper Midwest. The estate now farms 18 acres of grape varieties including Marquette, La Crescent, Brianna, Prairie Star, Frontenac Gris, Frontenac Blanc, Crimson Pearl, Petite Pearl, and Louise Swenson, using GPS-guided planting and underground drip irrigation. The winery sits on rolling hills near Lake Minnewaska in Pope County, a landscape that inspired its name from nearby Rolling Forks Township. In the cellar, the team blends traditional methods with modern equipment, fermenting in temperature-controlled conditions and aging in French and American oak barrels as well as stainless steel tanks. The portfolio ranges from sweet to dry and includes award-winning wines such as Allegro, which received a 96-point score, and Best of Class winners Delicato, Lady Slipper, Lady of the Lake, Brianna, and Marquette. Visitors can taste in the tasting room, join tours, relax on the patio, or attend weddings and private events.
