Rosella's

Rosella's Vineyard & Winery is located in Grants Pass, Oregon, within the Applegate Valley AVA. The winery was established by Howard Whitaker in 1982 on a 10-acre property that was transformed into a dry-land farmed vineyard, one of the few in the region. The original varietals planted were Chardonnay, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon, with Zinfandel added later. After changing hands several times, the winery is now owned by Rex and Sandi Garoutte, who renamed it Rosella's in honor of Rex's mother, whose favorite place was Hawaii. The winery produces around 800 cases annually, offering a range of wines from single varietals to blends and dessert wines. Their mission is to provide high-quality, hand-crafted wines while promoting wine appreciation through education and business ethics. The vineyard and winery are situated in the heart of the Missouri Flat area, where the unique site produces some of the finest grapes in the Valley. The property's dry-land farming practices have allowed it to thrive without irrigation, setting it apart from other vineyards in the region.
