Ruzzo makes Hard Citrus, a fermented beverage built on lemon and lime juice and flavored with teas, dried fruits, and purees. The gluten-free, vegan drink sits between hard cider and hard seltzer, with no artificial flavors and 6.5% ABV. The brand was created by a family and close friends during the pandemic as a way to bring people together. The Ruzzo taproom in Damascus, Oregon, pours 15 house Hard Citrus taps plus 13 rotating beers, one wine tap, one local root beer tap, cocktails, non-alcoholic options, and food. The space includes indoor and outdoor seating with heaters, a large outdoor beer garden with fire pits and fire tables, two event tents, and a solarium available for private events. The taproom hosts weekly trivia nights, live music on summer weekends, seasonal fundraisers, and community gatherings, and it is dog-friendly.
