Seavey Vineyard

Seavey Vineyard is a family-owned winery located in Conn Valley, Napa Valley, California. The estate's history dates back to the 1870s when it was planted with grapes for a "Claret of high repute," earning recognition from the St. Helena Star as one of the finest wines in the region. After a phylloxera infestation and Prohibition led to its decline, the land remained fallow until Bill and Mary Seavey acquired it in 1979. They revitalized the vineyard, planting south-facing hillsides near Lake Hennessey and establishing a small winery by 1990. Today, the estate produces approximately 2,000-3,000 cases annually from its 40 planted acres, with a focus on dry-farmed hillside vineyards. Winemaker Jim Duane's gentle approach emphasizes patience and time, resulting in masterful wines that exude a sense of place and age gracefully. The winery offers a range of wines, including flagship Cabernet Sauvignon, Caravina Cabernet, Merlot, and Chardonnay, with a focus on classic Bordeaux-style richness and finesse.
