Silver Thread Vineyard

Silver Thread Vineyard is a boutique winery located in the Finger Lakes region of New York, specifically on the eastern shore of Seneca Lake. The winery is known for producing outstanding Riesling and other cool-climate wines using sustainably grown grapes, adhering to biointensive viticulture practices. Paul Brock and his wife Shannon, an acclaimed winemaker and wine educator respectively, have owned Silver Thread since 2011. They operate the winery with a focus on holistic farming and regenerative style of farming, generating 100% of their energy needs from a 28kw solar array on-site. With an annual production of less than 3,000 cases, Silver Thread's wines are available for sale at the tasting room, through the wine club, via mail order, or in select stores and restaurants in nearby states. The winery's Estate Vineyard is situated amidst a naturally beautiful environment overlooking Seneca Lake, with a new tasting location, Winegarden, offering wine & food pairings on Route 414. Silver Thread seeks to elevate the reputation of the Finger Lakes region by crafting terroir-driven wines, and their story is still being written as they continuously learn, improve, and apply new knowledge to their vineyard, winery, and hospitality. The winery's origins date back to 1982, when it was established on a site that had previously been home to peach orchards tended by the Haudenosaunee people centuries ago.
