Spangler Vineyards

Spangler Vineyards is a family-owned winery located in Southern Oregon's Umpqua Valley, with a focus on producing reserve-quality Bordeaux varietals and Rhone favorites. Founded by Pat Spangler in 2004, the winery has its roots (literally) in old vine Cabernet Sauvignon, planted between 1968-1971, which are own-rooted and dry-farmed. The warm weather and multiple microclimates of Southern Oregon allow for ideal growing conditions for Bordeaux varietals such as Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, which are staples of the Spangler Vineyards portfolio. In addition to these big, bold reds, the winery also produces a lovely unoaked Chardonnay and a range of other wines including Syrah, Petite Sirah, Grenache Blanc, and Viognier. Pat Spangler's passion for Bordeaux varietals was sparked by his early experiences in California wine country and later solidified during his time as a floor trader on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, where he would often visit wineries in the Pacific Northwest. With a strong commitment to attention to detail and expert winemaking, Spangler Vineyards has established itself as a notable producer of fine Oregon wines.
