The winery is nestled on the "Willcox Bench," a scenic hour drive southeast of Tucson, and is situated within the nationally accredited Willcox AVA. Strive Vineyards is known for its 100% solar-powered operations and green sustainable farming practices, which aim to maintain high-quality grapes while minimizing environmental impact. The winery's story began when Ryan and Desiree, both from Wisconsin, moved to Arizona after graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. They initially worked as a pharmacist and special education teacher, respectively, but eventually turned their interest in food, wine, and chemistry into a hobby, making wine with a home kit. After several attempts, they decided to pursue their passion full-time, establishing Strive Vineyards on their farm in Willcox.
