Suhru Wines

Suhru Wines is a Long Island winery located on the North Fork of New York, known for its sustainable farming practices and minimal intervention winemaking style. Founded in 1992 by Mark Lieb, the vineyard has grown from 12 acres to 54 acres of certified sustainable estate-grown vineyards, including the largest contiguous plot of Pinot Blanc in the United States. The winery produces two labels: Suhru Wines, which focuses on lesser-known grape varietals and winemaking styles, and Lieb Cellars, which offers classic vitis vinifera grape varieties and elegant sparkling wines. Long Island veteran winemaker Russell Hearn oversees production for both labels, with a signature dry, clean, and fruit-forward style. Visitors can enjoy a tasting or glass of wine while taking in the views of rolling farmland and vineyards from the tasting room, open daily from 12pm to 6pm. The winery's commitment to sustainability is reflected in its certification by the New York Sustainable Winegrowing program and its focus on estate-grown wines made using sustainable farming practices.
