Ten Spoon Vineyard + Winery is a Montana-based winery located in the Rattlesnake Valley, near Missoula. The winery was founded by Connie Poten in 1998, who cleared the land for a vineyard with the help of volunteers. Ten Spoon specializes in producing wines from French-American hybrid grapes, which thrive in the region's cold climate and are grown using certified organic practices. Their award-winning wines include Flathead Cherry Dry and Cherry Blossom, made from organic cherries sourced locally, as well as varietal wines purchased from small vineyards in Washington state. Co-owner and winemaker Andy Sponseller brings expertise from his studies at UC Davis and experience working with Elmer Swenson, a pioneer in developing grapes for cold climates.
