Tetrahedron Wines

Tetrahedron Wines is a winery located in the Columbia River Gorge, known for its unique approach to winemaking that combines art and science. The winery's signature varietals include Chardonnay, Charbono, Syrah, Merlot, and blends such as Charbono/Merlot. Their wines are characterized by distinct flavor profiles, with notes of minerality, umami, dark fruit, chocolate, and spice. Tetrahedron Wines is committed to sustainable practices, using organically-sourced microbial friends for natural fermentations, no fining or filtration, and hand-crank-pressed and hand-bottled methods. The winery's roots date back to the Sauter family, who homesteaded in the Columbia River Gorge in the late 1800s. The current owner, Stefanie Boen, is a biologist by training and has applied her analytical knowledge to create a unique visual representation of each wine's flavor profile called Wine Mandalas. These mandalas use geometric configurations of symbols to reflect measured values in the wine, providing a distinctive way to experience and understand the winery's offerings. The tasting room experience at Tetrahedron Wines is currently being developed, with special occasions available for those who sign up for their invite list.
