Toulouse Vineyards

Toulouse Vineyards is a family-owned winery located in the heart of Anderson Valley, Philo, California, along Highway 128. The 160-acre property overlooks the Navarro River and features towering redwoods and magnificent oaks. Founded by Vern Boltz and his wife Maxine in 1997, the winery began as a simple endeavor to plant vines and sell grapes, but eventually led to producing their own wine with the first harvest in 2002 resulting in 400 cases. Today, all wines are bottled on site using sustainable handcrafted methods that prioritize natural practices. The vineyard is managed organically, utilizing compost and fish emulsion as fertilizers, mechanical weeding, cover cropping, and drip irrigation to minimize water usage. In the cellar, native wild yeasts ferment the wines with minimal additions of organic nutrients, showcasing the grapes' natural expression from terroir and vintage. Toulouse Vineyards is committed to sustainable growing and winemaking practices that protect the soil and local ecosystem for future generations. The vineyard's unique climate, characterized by warm summer days cooled by ocean breezes and fog, creates an ideal environment for Pinot Noir production. Visitors can experience the rustic charm of the property and taste their sustainably handcrafted wines in the on-site tasting room.
