Valley Road Vineyards

Valley Road Vineyards is a Virginia farm winery located at the gateway to Nelson 151, situated in the historic Monticello Viticulture Area (AVA). Founded in 2016 by a group of friends with diverse backgrounds, the winery's goal has been to provide outstanding estate wines in a charming setting. The property spans 12 acres under vine, with an additional 7 acres planted in 2021, featuring Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot vines on the Afton South vineyard. Valley Road also leases a 20-acre vineyard, Mountain Glen, located 20 miles south of the property, which contributes to their estate wines. The winery's latest project is the Grayson Vineyard, a six-acre addition at the Afton property along Nelson 151, planted in Spring 2021 with Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Albariño vines. Valley Road Vineyards offers wine tastings in its farm-chic Tasting Room, on The Patio, or Pavilion overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains, as well as outdoor seating areas and a converted Barn event space. The winery is open 7 days a week, with varying hours depending on the day of the week, and features a wine club and wedding venues. Valley Road Vineyards celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2026, marking a decade of growth and development in the Virginia wine industry.
