Vidovich Vineyards

Vidovich Vineyards is a family-owned winery located atop Montebello Road in the Santa Cruz Mountains AVA, offering panoramic views of the Bay Area from San Francisco to San Jose. The estate grows Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel grapes on its own vineyards, with a focus on low-intervention winemaking that highlights the unique terroir of the region. The Montebello Road vineyard's high elevation (2450 feet) and Mediterranean-like climate contribute to distinctive temperature fluctuations and a geological composition shaped by sea-floor sedimentary material accumulated over 100 million years ago. This confluence of factors has established Montebello Road as one of the most renowned Cabernet-producing regions in the Americas. The winery's commitment to excellence is rooted in its family history, dating back four generations to when Stephen Vidovich's ancestors grew apricots, prunes, and cherries on their homestead in Cupertino and Sunnyvale. Today, Vidovich Vineyards continues this agricultural tradition by growing a variety of crops beyond wine grapes, including almonds, pistachios, pomegranates, raisins, walnuts, and olives.
