Vineyard 7 & 8 is a small, family-owned winery located on Spring Mountain in the Napa Valley, California. Founded in 1999 by the Steffens family, the winery's philosophy emphasizes producing premium, handcrafted wines that showcase the terroir of their estate vineyards and select Spring Mountain growers. Winemaker Luc Morlet oversees a labor-intensive process involving careful hand sorting and whole-berry fermentations to create Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay wines that are true to their place of origin. The winery's 40-acre estate, planted in the early 1980s, is situated at an elevation of 2000 feet on steep hillsides with volcanic soils, requiring a delicate balance between care and restraint in viticulture. Vineyard 7 & 8 remains committed to its founding principles, which are reflected in its name: seven symbolizing perseverance, eight representing balance and prosperity.
