Walker Road Vineyards

Walker Road Vineyards is a small, family-owned farm winery in Woodbury, Connecticut, set in a renovated 150-year-old barn. The winery focuses on blended wines made in a classic tradition, while also producing single-varietal estate Marquette and St. Croix. Its lineup includes Walker Road Red Table Wine, a dry blend of Saint Croix, Cabernet Franc, and Sangiovese that is oaked separately for at least a year before blending and finished with hand-dipped wax; Gertrude's Garden White Table Wine, a dry blend of Seyval Blanc, Traminette, and Sauvignon Blanc; the refreshing rosé Rosalie; and Tawny, a dessert wine. Marquette and St. Croix are offered by the bottle, glass, or in tasting flights. Visitors can taste wines in the barn tasting room or on the covered deck, with wines available by the glass, as tasting flights, or by the bottle. The property has a grassy hill for picnics, where leashed dogs are welcome, and hosts occasional small events such as art shows and play previews. Yoga sessions in the vineyard are also offered, followed by a glass of wine.
