Walnut Ridge Vineyard

Walnut Ridge Vineyard is a family-owned estate winery in the Lower Long Tom Sub-AVA of Oregon's Willamette Valley, a few miles west of Junction City between Corvallis and Eugene. Its 30 acres of vines sit in the foothills of the Coast Range with southwestern exposure, and all of its wines are estate grown. The winery traces its roots to the Young family's 1946 farm in Dewey, Arizona, where Elmer Young built Young's Farm, known for sweet corn and holiday turkeys. After selling the Arizona farm in 2006 due to changing water-rights laws, the family moved to Oregon, first operating Blue Mountain Ranch in Paulina, then a retail business. A 2020 Airstream trip across the United States, including an extended stay in New Orleans, inspired them to return to farming and establish Walnut Ridge with what they call a slice of Nola in Oregon. Visitors can join the Wine Krewe for guaranteed wine allocations, priority access to special bottlings, member-only events, and complimentary tastings for friends and family.
