Walter Dacon Wines

Walter Dacon Wines is a Washington state winery founded in 2003 by Lloyd and Ann Anderson, who began their winemaking journey with home experiments in 2000. The couple's passion for wine led them to take formal classes at UC Davis before opening their own winery, which was granted permits by the State of WA and Federal Government in 2003. Their inaugural wines, including C'est Syrah Belle, Beaux, and Magnifique, debuted in 2005 after aging in barrels since November 2003. The winery gained recognition with Wine Spectator ratings: 89 points for Belle, 88 points for Beaux, and 91 points for Magnifique. The tasting room, featuring a restored vintage circulation desk from the Fremont Library in Seattle (circa 1917), was opened in May 2005 and has since become a notable attraction with its expertly handcrafted art and a portrait of Lloyd's grandfather, Walter Dacon, prominently displayed above the winery. Located at 50 S.E. Skookum Inlet Road in Shelton, WA, the winery offers tastings by appointment only on Wednesday through Sunday.
