West Hills Vineyards

West Hills Vineyards is a family-owned winery in Oregon's Willamette Valley, located on the historic grounds of the 1858 home of Governor I. L. Patterson near Salem. Founded by Jim and Myrna Gulick with their daughters Lisa, Michelle, and Jennifer, the estate was created as a gathering place where wine brings people together. The family farms with regenerative practices intended to restore fields in Polk County that had been over-farmed and neglected for years, guided by a mission of sustainable stewardship in farming and viticulture. The tasting room pours classic wines alongside a chef-prepared seasonal menu. Pinot Noir leads the portfolio, with bottlings such as Trout Lily, Whole Cluster, Estate, Horsepower, Holmes Gap, Fern, and Reserve. The Estate Pinot Noir is blended from multiple vineyards, and the lineup also includes Tempranillo, Chardonnay, and Rosé. The estate hosts live music, events, and activities like yoga and wine, designed as a setting for visitors to gather and share wine with family and friends.
