Wild Bush Farm + Vineyard sits in Bush, Louisiana, in St. Tammany Parish, on the former Pontchartrain Vineyards property that Neil Gernon and Monica Bourgeois acquired after building their wine careers in New Orleans restaurants, retail, distribution, and their California label, Vending Machine Wines. The couple is reshaping the site around native and hybrid plantings, including muscadine, blueberries, mayhaws, pears, and hybrid grapes, alongside vegetables and flowers, with an eye toward sustainability and the surrounding ecosystem. The tasting room pours current releases such as a Sonoma Coast rosé, a Petite Sirah-Syrah red blend, and a chilled old-vine Mission red. Guests can taste in the tasting room or schedule a tour of the winery. Gernon and Bourgeois also continue the property's long-running Jazz in the Vines concert series and add events like yoga in the vineyard, wine classes, and a "be your own winemaker" blending session.
