Williams Gap Vineyard is a family-owned estate spanning over 200 acres in Round Hill, Virginia, with breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The winery, established in 1984, has been cultivating exceptional grapes on its 40-acre vineyard, which thrives in ideal soils and climate suited for its diverse selection of varietals. Williams Gap is known for growing seven red vinifera varietals, including Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tannat, Nebbiolo, and Syrah, alongside six white varietals such as Chardonnay, Viognier, Vidal Blanc, Petit Manseng, Albariño, and Sauvignon Blanc. The winery launched its own wine production in 2019, culminating in the opening of its Tasting Room in April 2021. The vineyard offers a warm and inviting atmosphere perfect for any occasion, with a selection of locally crafted beers to complement its wines. Visitors can enjoy tastings and tours, while wine club members receive exclusive access to limited releases and member-only events. The winery's team includes owner Jack Sexton, DVM, who has dedicated over 40 years to caring for animals as a veterinarian and has balanced his time between veterinary care and cultivating exceptional grapes. The winery is managed by Bridgette Smith, WSET Level 2 Certified, who strives to ensure every guest has the best experience possible and learns something new about Virginia winemaking.
