Winterport Winery

Winterport Winery is in historic Winterport, Maine, sharing its space equally with Penobscot Bay Brewery. The winery makes handcrafted fruit wines in house from locally sourced fruits, and its tasting room carries products from both the winery and the brewery. The wine list centers on fruit wines rather than traditional grape varieties, with the exception of Taxi Cab, a cabernet. Offerings include Apple, Blueberry, Cranberry, Pear, and Raspberry Rain, plus blended and fortified styles such as Orchard Blush, Berry Chocolate, Flying Dutchman, and Winter Gold, an apple dessert wine made in an ice wine style. The winery also produces several ciders, including blueberry, cranberry, blackberry, and pear versions. When open, the tasting room serves mix-and-match flights combining wines, ciders, and beers from both establishments. The tasting room is currently temporarily closed, though wines and ciders remain available for online purchase with shipping to select states.
