Woof’n Rose Winery

Woof'n Rose Winery is a family-owned and operated winery located in the Ramona Valley AVA of San Diego County, California. The Kahle family, consisting of Stephen and Marilyn along with their three sons and their families, work together to cultivate the vineyards and produce wines from estate-grown grapes. The winery specializes in Bordeaux-style varietals, including Cabernet Franc, which is a particular focus, as well as other classic Bordeaux varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Petit Verdot, Carmenere, Grenache Noir, Alicante Bouschet, and Montepulciano. Annual production is around 300-350 cases per year. The winery's tasting room offers a unique experience, where visitors can sit on an outdoor veranda overlooking the vineyards and Ramona Valley while chatting directly with the owners who also serve as grower, winemaker, and marketer. Woof'n Rose wines have received numerous awards in competitions such as San Diego Toast of the Coast, including Double Gold for their 2020 Estate Happy Tails, 2017 Estate Eglantine, and 2016 Estate Cabernet Franc, among others. The winery's online store offers shippable wines to most states, and visitors can also purchase wine directly from the tasting room.
