Youngberg Hill

Youngberg Hill is a 50-acre hilltop estate in the McMinnville AVA of Oregon's Willamette Valley, about 15 minutes from downtown McMinnville. Founded in 1989 and owned and operated by Nicolette since 2003, the property combines a working vineyard, tasting room, inn, and event venue. The estate's 23 acres of vines are organized into distinct blocks, including the Natasha block of own-rooted Pinot Noir on marine sedimentary soil at roughly 600 feet, the Jordan block on a steep volcanic-rock slope at 750 to 800 feet, and newer Dijon-clone Pinot Noir blocks. Pinot Gris and Chardonnay grow in the Aspen block. The vineyard has been farmed organically since 2003 and is dry-farmed without irrigation. It holds Salmon Safe certification and was certified Sustainable by the Oregon Wine Board in 2010. The winery focuses on Pinot Noir while also producing Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Grenache, Syrah, Rosé, and sparkling wine. Visitors can taste in a room overlooking the vineyard, the Eola-Amity range, and on clear days the Cascades, Mount Jefferson, and Mount Hood. The inn has nine guest rooms, and the estate hosts weddings and private events.
